A one-piece cue has no joint, which makes it the most solid cue to play with — and a proper case is what lets you keep that advantage while still taking the cue with you. Aluminium hard cases give complete protection for a cue that has to travel, holding it rigid end to end. Soft sleeves are lighter and simpler, and ideal for carrying a cue from a car to a venue or keeping it clean and protected at home.

Sizing is the thing to check: a 57 inch cue needs at least a 57 inch case, and longer cues need the 60 inch version. Both are stocked across hard and soft styles.
