Ash Cues
Ash is the traditional snooker timber and still the most widely played. The straight grain runs visibly down the shaft in chevrons, and most players use those markings as a natural sighting line — line the arrows up and the cue is square.
It plays with a small amount of natural flex through the stroke. That is what gives ash its reputation for being forgiving: the shaft loads very slightly on the hit and returns, which smooths the stroke out and makes a cue that is easy to play well with for hours. The look is part of the appeal too. Every ash shaft has its own grain pattern, so a good one is genuinely individual rather than uniform.
Available across every construction — one-piece, two-piece and three-quarter split — from club-level cues through to A-grade selected timber, in weights from 17oz to 21oz.
