Pool and Snooker Cues
Pick up a one-piece pub cue and then a 3/4 split, and the difference is obvious before you have played a shot — one is a single solid length, the other comes apart in your hands and still feels whole through the stroke. Ash and maple timber, graphite and carbon fibre composites, and one-piece cues built for venue racks are all here.
Construction is usually the first choice worth making. One-piece cues are the simplest thing you can play with — nothing to assemble, nothing to work loose. Two-piece cues split at the centre and pack down to roughly half their length, which makes them easy to carry and store. Three-quarter splits set the joint high in the butt, so the cue feels close to a one-piece through the stroke while still coming apart for transport. Then there is the timber or material. Ash gives you a visible straight grain to sight along and a touch of natural flex that smooths out the stroke. Maple is stiffer and hits harder, which suits American pool. Graphite and carbon fibre stay perfectly stable in any climate and need no maintenance at all.
Weights run from 17oz to 21oz across the range, so there is a match for a delicate touch game or a powerful one.
